We extend our gratitude and thank you for making GCS Advisory’s annual AntiMoney Laundering/Compliance & Financial Crime Conference a huge success for 15 years. For over a decade GCS welcomed speakers, attendees, and exhibitors all gathered for practical insights, real case studies, and expert guidance.
The two-day conference convened until 2019 in the Cayman Islands. A diverse range of local and international speakers shared their thought-provoking knowledge with compelling presentations on key topics for the Caribbean region. From topics such as Cayman Islands National Risk Assessment, cryptocurrency, financial crime, human trafficking, and IT forensics to an in-depth look into money laundering investigations and understanding the mindset of a fraudster, the conference brought AML failures to light while examining the latest strategies, Regulatory changes, and best practice implementation.
Captivating speakers including FBI agents, investigative journalist, best-selling authors, and even a mafia expert, brought eye-opening events such as corruption in FIFA, Tracking and Stopping Terrorist Funds, Offshore Ponzi Schemes, and Matchfixing to the forefront. The gathering allowed us to reflect on the importance of our work and take the time to become stronger compliance professionals while networking with our peers.
